Conservative candidate Jay Aspin says there are 65 companies in Nipissing-Timiskaming in the mining services sector.
This is why Aspin feels development at the Ring of Fire is vital for northern Ontario. He says Conservative Leader Stephen Harper recently made a pledge in North Bay to extend the Mining Exploration Tax Credit, and this will help spur development at the chromite site.
Election Day is October 19th. Aspin is running against Liberal candidate Anthony Rota, Green party candidate Nicole Peltier, and NDP candidate Kathleen Jodouin.
