Over $150,000 worth of drugs off North Bay Streets

Two North Bay men are facing a slew of drug trafficking charges.

The North Bay Police Service executed a search warrant on March 31st, around 3:30pm, at a home in the 300-block of Mulligan Street.

Corporate Communications Officer, David Woolley, says officers found over $156,000 of suspected Fentanyl and Cocaine. Three males were arrested and charged.

A 42-year-old of North Bay is charged with:
One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other drugs
One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

A 22-year-old of Burlington is charged with:
One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other drugs
One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
One count of Disobeying Order of Court
One count of Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

A 19-year-old of North Bay is charged with:
One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other drugs
One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
One count of Fail to Comply with Sentence

During the search, police seized:
Approximately 274 grams of suspected Fentanyl
Approximately 465 grams of suspected Cocaine
One (1) digital scale
Packaging material
More than $5,000 in cash

The estimated total street value of the controlled substances seized is approximately $156,070.

All three individuals remain in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse on April 1, 2021.

The investigation was conducted by the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit and members of Project Drifter. Project Drifter is a joint forces operation between the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.
