North Bay minor facing arson charges

A North Bay minor has been charged with arson.

Yesterday evening the North Bay Police Service got the call of a grass fire in the 2000 block of Main Street West.

The fire was extinguished by North Bay Fire and Emergency services, and after a police investigation, police identified the accused.

An individual was charged with one count of Arson – Damage to Property.

In accordance with Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name or any other information that may lead to the identification of the accused.

The North Bay Police Service says it would like to recognize the work of North Bay Fire and Emergency Services, as well as the many tips received from members of the public that assisted in this investigation.
