Four charged with assault, break and enter

Four locals are facing break and enter as well as assault charges after a home invasion in the 300-block of Main Street East last Saturday.

The North Bay Police Service asked the public for help with its search for the wanted 26-year-old Cameron Lawrence Robert Trodd and four other suspects on Sunday.

“On Saturday, police believe Trodd was involved in both an armed robbery at a home in the Percy Street area around 3 pm and a home invasion at an apartment building in the 300 block of Main Street East at approximately 11:45 p.m,” said the service last weekend.

After an investigation into the case, the service arrested four suspects.

On Wednesday police executed a search warrant and arrested both a male and female at a residence on Development Road in Bonfield.

A 33-year-old female of Bonfield, was charged with:

  • One count of Break & Enter a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence
  •  One count of Assault with a Weapon
  •  One count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm

A 42-year-old male of Bonfield, was charged with:

  • One count of Break & Enter a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence
  •  One count of Assault with a Weapon
  •  One count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm

Both accused will appear before the court at the North Bay Courthouse on May 25.

On Thursday, police executed another search warrant and an additional male and female were arrested in the 300-block of Fischer Street.

A 49-year-old of North Bay was charged with:

  • One count of Break & Enter a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence
  •  One count of Assault with a Weapon
  •  One count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  •  Failure to comply with a probation order
  •  One count of Failure to comply with a release order

A 33-year-old of North Bay was charged with:

  • One count of Break & Enter a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence
  •  One count of Assault with a Weapon
  •  One count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  •  Failure to comply with a probation order

Both accused remain in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse in April.

North Bay Police are continuing their investigation and its search for Trodd. Officers urge anyone who may have security camera video, including dash cam video in the areas of Percy Street and Main Street East at the time of the alleged incident to contact police.
