The North Bay Police Service has issued 59 tickets in a recent road safety campaign.
With help from public complaints and communications, the service set up target traffic enforcement patrols in both North Bay and Callander last week.
From April 13-15, police held traffic enforcement in Callander and issued 25 Provincial Offence Notices for the following infractions:
- Speeding
- Â Improper Muffler
- Â Failure to stop at a Stop Sign
- Â Use of Unauthorized License Plates
- Â Driving without proof of insurance
- Â Driving without proof of ownership
From April 18-19, the NBPS partnered with the OPP for traffic enforcement in North Bay and 34 Provincial Offence Notices were issued for:
- Speeding
- Â Improper muffler
- Â Improper tires
- Â Improper lighting
- Â Use of Unauthorized License Plates
- Â Driving without proof of insurance
- Â Driving without proof of ownership
Police also seized four sets of unauthorized license plates, towed four (4) vehicles, and designated four vehicles for a Ministry of Transportation inspection.
