Open house on accessibility at North Bay City Hall

There’s an Open House this afternoon at North Bay City Hall.  It’s to recognize the 10th anniversary of making the city more accessible for the disabled.

In North Bay about 7,500 people have some form of disability.  Today’s event includes boarding a bus to see what disabled people experience.

The open house runs from 3:00pm to7:00pm.   Spokeswoman Sharron Moseley-Williams says 70 percent of disabilities are invisible.

The open house features 18 service providers and some of the things the public can see are assisted devices.
