The installation of a new water main will close part of Lakeshore Drive for the next couple of months.
Work will begin on April 29, closing Lakeshore Drive from Marshall Avenue to Mulligan Streets from 9 pm to 7 am that evening. Crews will resume work on the week of May 3, where traffic will be reduced to one lane in either direction. The project is expected to take 10 weeks.
Access to McMurray and Howard avenues during the initial road closure on April 29 will be available from the Mulligan Street side of Lakeshore Drive, while access to Clifford Street will be provided from Marshall Avenue side of the closure via Wigston Drive.
“The construction crew will make every effort to limit disruptions and to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible,” the City of North Bay states.
