Nipissing University not considering mandatory vaccinations right now

It doesn’t look like Nipissing University will be requiring its students to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Meghan Venasse, Communications Manager at Nipissing, says there are no mandatory vaccination requirements in place at the school right now.

“In an effort to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, continue being a good community partner, and support the health and wellbeing of our campus community, Nipissing University encourages all faculty, staff and students to get vaccinated if and when they are able,” she stated.

McGill University, the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta have all stated publicly they will not be requiring students to be vaccinated to participate in in-person learning this fall.

Conversely, over 100 American universities, including Harvard and Rutgers University, have stated they will require students to be inoculated in order to attend in-person classes.
