There could be a strike at Nipissing University early next month.
The Nipissing University Faculty Association will be in a legal strike position in early November. They represent over 173 full time faculty members at the school. Two days of negotiations between the association and the school fell through last week.
The two parties have been in talks since March. Faculty are trying to negotiate greater job security and a small pay raise. In a release, Nipissing University says it’s committed to further discussions to reach a fair and reasonable settlement with the association.
