Two facing drug and gun charges, over $10,000 in drugs seized

A North Bay man and woman are facing a slew of drug and weapon charges.

The female, 34, and male, 39, were arrested in their home yesterday after police got a search warrant for a residence in the 550-block of King Street in North Bay.

David Woolley, Corporate Communications Officer for the North Bay Police Service, says officers found a wide variety of suspected drugs in the home, along with a long gun and ammunition. The estimated street price of the drugs found is over $10,000 and included:

  • Approximately 19 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Approximately 13 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • Approximately 11 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately 30 suspected methamphetamine tablets

The 34-year-old female is charged with:

  • One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • One count of Failure to comply with release order
  • Three Counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
    • Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine
  • One count of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • One count of Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • One count of Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • One count of Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo

The 39-year-old-male is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Three Counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance
    • Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine
  • One count of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • One count of Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • One count of Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited devise or ammunition
  • One count of Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
  • One count of Failure to comply with undertaking
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused are both currently in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
