Local residents looking to Help Make Cystic Fibrosis History

A couple of online events are lined up this weekend to Help Make Cystic Fibrosis (CF) History.

Friday at 7 pm is The Studio’s 9th annual Zumbathon in support of CF Canada.

The event is free, but donations are welcome.

North Bay’s Virtual Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History goes on Sunday.

The event begins at 10 am with an online local ceremony.

Residents are invited to take part in their own way, sharing #GoFurtherForCF with their photos on social media.

Fourteen-year-old local CF fighter Brayden Perron will be shaving his head after the walk.

He issued a challenge that if The Studio’s walk team raised over $10,000 he would shave his head.

Over $13,000 has been raised by the team so far.

“I feel honoured to be involved in such a great community who works so hard for people living with CF. I feel so proud that I issued this challenge and the “Mamas” showed up!! Now I need to show up for the mamas…the Flow has gotta go,” says Brayden Perron in a release.
