People’s Party of Canada to select candidate later this month

Two people are seeking the nomination as the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) candidate in the next federal election.

Party members in Nipissing-Timiskaming will choose their candidate later this month.

55-year-old Greg Galante is a former Toronto firefighter and founding member of the PPC.

He has been a recreational property owner in the riding for nearly 22 years and has lived here for the past seven years.

42-year-old Xander Miller, a software developer, moved to North Bay when he was 13, then moved to Ottawa for university.

He and his wife have chosen to return to the riding to raise their children.

The PPC nomination meeting goes on June 25th.

Unless the minority government falls or an election is called early, the next general election is slated for October 2023.
