A grand total of over $124-thousand has been raised by the community to help secure new medical equipment and programs at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
That money was raised through the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation’s Our Hospital Walk/Run. More than 500 people participated in the annual event, which happened yesterday morning. All the funds will stay local, to help purchase a Central Fetal Monitoring System for Labour and Delivery, a GreenLight Laser for the treatment of enlarged prostates and to support the six-bed Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.
NBRHC Foundation CEO Tammy Morison says she was very pleased with the entire event. “I thank all of the sponsors, walkers, runners and volunteers, who made Our Hospital Walk/Run a huge success again this year. Through your support, you are helping to provide advanced levels of care, close to home.”
