A 33-year-old North Bay man is facing an attempted murder charge.
The North Bay Police Service reports an altercation took place Saturday at a residence in the 100-block of Oak Street East.
Police say the victim was allegedly assaulted with a weapon and received multiple, serious injuries.
They also say the victim was able to flee the residence and was later treated for injuries.
Along with attempted murder, the accused is charged with assault with a weapon and assault a peace officer.
He remains in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
