Hydo One sale could hurt northern Ontario

The sale of Hydro One could be bad news for remote northern communities.

That’s according to PC leader Patrick Brown, who says many lines to these northern communities are considered generally unprofitable. Speaking in the legislature, Brown said if you put private owners in the mix, they could see northern lines as a poor return on investment.

Brown also said Hydro One feels expanding transmission lines into the Ring of Fire is a bad decision for investors, then it will never happen.
