$1.3 million supporting local children and youth with special needs

Provincial funding is helping to increase access to rehabilitation services and outcomes for local children and youth with special needs.

Over $1.1 million goes to One Kids Place with $166,000 for the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

The funding is part of $60 million in new money being provided across the province annually, starting this year.

It will be used to build additional service capacity and increase access to preschool speech and language services and community-based and school-based rehabilitation services.

“Our government is taking action to ensure our children have access to the services they need to put them on a successful path in life,” said Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing. “This investment will have an immediate and significant positive impact for service delivery in Nipissing.”
