Two people from North Bay are facing weapon and drug charges.
On August 11, NBPS officers arrested the pair at a business in the 700-block of Lakeshore Drive.
David Woolley, Corporate Communications Officers, says police found a “significant amount” of controlled substances, as well as drug trafficking equipment.
Approximately 80 grams of suspected cocaine and over 20 suspected Percocet pills were seized (street value approximately $9,838).
Police also found over $3,600 in cash.
Several weapons were also found including a compound bow and arrow, knives, BB guns, and stun gun.
A 44-year-old was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
A 31-year-old was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
The accused are in custody pending a hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
