Over $14,000 of fentanyl off North Bay streets

A 33-year-old North Bay woman is facing drug and weapon charges.

On Aug. 10, North Bay Police Service (NBPS) officers arrested the woman outside of a business in the 300-block of Main Street West.

David Woolley, Corporate Communications Officers for the NBPS, says a search revealed approximately 35 grams of suspected Fentanyl (estimated street value of approximately $14,360), over $10,000 in cash, a dagger as well as suspected drug trafficking materials.

The woman was charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

The accused remains in custody pending a hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
