Strike at Nipissing University

There will be a lot of university students missing class today in North Bay.

After weekend negotiations failed the full-time faculty with Nipissing University officially went on strike this morning. All classes at the main campus are cancelled, and the school has also shut down their Muskoka and Brantford campuses. Issues include wages and job security.

President and Vice Chancellor of Nipissing University, Dr. Mike DeGagne, says the university remains committed to reaching a fair agreement with faculty. While the strike is going on students can keep updated at www.nipissingu.ca.
