The Rotaract Club of North Bay – Nipissing is looking to “Fill the Crib” in support of the Trinity Infant Food Shelf and the NICU.
This Saturday, Sept. 25, the club will be at the Best Buy entrance of the Northgate Mall. Community members are encouraged to stop by and drop off a donation. Please note COVID-19 precautions will be in place and everyone is required to wear a face covering.
The “Fill the Crib” initiative will help parents of infants. The club says the last couple of years have brought many hardships and struggles, and this is one way for everyone to give back.
Donations can be as big or as small as you would like.
The club is accepting new items such as:
- Diapers (Open boxes accepted)
- Baby food and cereal
- Blankets
- Towels
- Face cloths
- Baby wipes
- Baby sleepers
- Newborn toys
- Gift cards to Walmart allowing mothers can pick up formula for their baby
The Rotaract Club’s website states any donation (monetary and physical) you make at the event will be split evenly between the NICU and the Trinity Infant Food Shelf.
The club says formula will not be accepted as, but donations and gift cards will be accepted allowing parents to have the opportunity to pick a formula that works best for their baby. The club says it is unable to accept used items due to the recipient’s COVID-19 precautions. Monetary donations will also be accepted in person or online at rotaractnbn.com.
