Two city men are facing charges after Friday’s police investigation that saw the Cedar Street area blocked off for public safety.
The North Bay Police Service says around 9 am two people were involved in an altercation with another person, who is known to the accused, in the 800 block of Cedar Street.
It’s alleged a firearm was pointed at the victim, who police say was then struck with a blunt object.
City police and their Emergency Response Team contained the area for public safety, with nearby St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School and École Secondaire Catholique Algonquin put into hold and secure status.
Police say both men were arrested a short time after the incident occurred, with security camera footage from the area assisting police.
An investigation led to the recovery of a BB gun at the scene.
A 22-year-old North Bay man is facing ten charges including pointing a firearm, uttering threats and more.
Police also charged a 27-year-old North Bay man with one count of assault with a weapon.
