A cohort has been dismissed at West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School.
That from the Near North District School Board which says they were informed of a positive case of COVID-19 involving a member of the school community.
“Anyone that has been identified as a high-risk exposure will receive a note with specific instructions to follow and will be contacted by public health,” states a letter to parents.
The board says the school will remain open to in-person learning.
“Vaccinated and asymptomatic students will hear more about a return to in-person learning on Wednesday, Oct. 6.,” reads the letter. “Virtual learning will continue for those students who are required to self-isolate.”
The board says students and staff who are not directly contacted by the Health Unit have been determined to have had a low-risk exposure to the case of COVID-19.
It’s being recommended they self-monitor for symptoms.
