A tip from Toronto Police led to police in North Bay charging three people with several firearms and drug-related offences.
The North Bay Police Services say on Sunday they received information about an alleged attempt to extort money from a victim.
Three people were taken into custody after a traffic stop along Highway 11 at Watson Road.
A 26-year-old man from Toronto and two youths each face nine charges, including drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and firearms-related counts.
They were held pending bail hearings.
Police seized about $5,600 in drugs, including suspected cocaine and Percocet pills, along with approximately $1,210 in money, a handgun, ammunition and a vehicle.
