Unclaimed money is being put to good use at the North Bay Police Service.
Over $3,3000 in seized and unclaimed cash was put in the police board’s contingency fund yesterday. The money is used to benefit several non-for-profits in town who need money to host community events.
When police seize or receive money, three months has to pass by before it’s placed in the contingency fund.
