More donations are needed for the winter edition of Backpacks of Love.
The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay filled 35 backpacks after their first drop-off donation day on Saturday, October 23.
Officials say they still have a way to go to reach their goal of 150 backpacks and 150 supplemental bags.
Another drop-off day for new, unused items is scheduled for 1-3 pm on Saturday, November 6th at the New Apolistic Church on Joseph Street.

Granola bars/Energy bars
Tarp
Drawstring bag
Mini First Aid Kit
Reusable bag
Pack of heavy socks
Towelette pack/wipes
Winter slippers

Package of masks

Reusable water bottle
Pkg of hand and foot warmers
Travel containers for soap
Mitts/Gloves
Deodorant
Toque
Toothpaste
Scarf
Travel containers for toothbrushes
Hairbrush
Toilet paper
