Virtual open house sessions are taking place this Saturday at Nipissing University and Canadore College.
At Nipissing, prospective students can attend program-specific presentations, chat live with students, staff and faculty, ask questions, and hear from representatives from departments across campus.
Those areas include residence, financial aid, student learning transitions and more.
A guided virtual tour will also be provided.
“While we wish we were able to host open house in-person, we look forward to connecting with future students virtually to give them a glimpse of what life as a Laker would be like and the exceptional student experience we offer,” says Dr. Arja Vainio-Mattila, Provost & Vice-President, Academic & Research. “We know that students who visit our campus immediately fall in love with the beautiful natural setting, modern infrastructure and sense of community, so we encourage prospective students to book a campus tour to experience it for themselves.”
All those registered for Nipissing’s Open House will be entered into a draw to win their Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) initial fee, valued at $150.
At Canadore, prospective students can tour the college from the comfort of their own homes. The Virtual Open House includes virtual tours with students able to ask questions and get information about programs, admissions, financial aid, and student success supports.
“We can’t wait to virtually meet our prospective students and to showcase our Canadore spirit,” said Josh Willard, Canadore’s Manager of Marketing and Recruitment. “Students and their families can expect to connect with faculty, support staff and administrators via Zoom and have all of their questions answered.”
Students who register at www.canadorecollege.ca/joinus are eligible to win prizes including a MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse 2 and a pair of AirPods Pro; a $1000 tuition credit; and a $500 tuition credit.
