Current phase of boardwalk repairs wrapping up

If you’ve noticed a pile of large rocks by the Kiwanis Bandshell at the waterfront, they’re a part of the Kings Landing repairs.

“The large rocks are the armour stones,” says Gord Young, City of North Bay Communications Officer. “These will offer protection to the landing from future ice events.”

He also says work on the nearby boardwalk project, by the marina, should be wrapped up by the end of this week, for this year.

“In the spring of 2022 a new surface will be installed,” says Young.

He adds that the area will be left as an aggregate pathway until then.
