Grant applications are now being accepted by the North Bay and Area Community Foundation (NBACF).
Local charitable groups are being encouraged to apply for grants which will be awarded in 2022.
Kate Merritt-Dupelle, Executive Directors, says since 2010, nearly $2 million in grants have been dispersed to over 50 charitable groups by the Community Foundation.
“We’re really looking to support grassroots organizations, organizations who exist in our community who are working at ground level doing very important work. Especially through this time of COVID, the work that they have done has been nothing short of inspiring,” she says.
Their goal is to create sustainable funding for area charities while working with donors to honour their legacy and connect them to the causes they care about most.
Merritt-Dupelle says they typically grant upwards of $55,000 in the spring.
“Our grants range from $1,000 to $10,000. What we are really looking for is impactful projects that are going to change and strengthen our community and really serve the people of this area,” she says.
To apply for funding please fill out the grant application form found at www.nbacf.ca.
The deadline to submit your application is December 31st, 2021.
