A decision has finally been made on a hospice in North Bay.
After being presented with two proposals the North East Local Health Integration Network has decided to go forward with the Nipissing Serenity Hospice plan. That means a six bed facility will be built in a new standalone building, rather than renovating a section of the hospital.
It’s expected to cost between $5,000,000 and $7,000,000. The decision was made after a recommendation from the Palliative Care Committee.
