An alleged incident at a Fisher Street convenience store has led to an assault with a weapon charge for a 31-year-old city man.  

The North Bay Police Services responded to the store around 8 am Thursday. 

Police report a store clerk tried to intervene in a verbal altercation between two people who are known to each other. 

It’s alleged one person threw an electronic device at the victim, who sustained minor physical injuries.  

The accused was held in custody awaiting a show cause hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
