OPP conducting community satisfaction surveys

Northeast Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is looking for your input.

A community satisfaction survey is currently underway to garner public opinion about the services provided by OPP detachments throughout the region.

“The Community Satisfaction Survey is a mixed-method survey conducted with members of the public (aged 16 years and older) living in randomly selected households in areas policed by North East Region detachments,” states a release. “The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is strictly voluntary.”

The OPP says selected households will be mailed a survey invitation letter including a web address and unique code for completing the survey online. A toll-free number is also provided for those looking to complete the survey over the phone.

Provincial Police also say some selected households may receive calls to collect feedback.

Several issues are included in the survey, including community security, perceptions of crime and youth issues, OPP presence, service delivery and how the OPP investigates crime and enforces the law.

Results of the survey will be used in the OPP’s Business and Action plans and help Northeast Region OPP set goals and objectives to improve service delivery in communities across the region.
