As a truck convoy motors its way towards the city, police are anticipating about a thousand members of the Freedom Convoy 2022 to be staying in North Bay tonight.
The North Bay Police Service says they and their policing partners have put contingencies in place to limit the impact this will have on traffic congestion.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area of Nipissing Junction at Highway 11, Lakeshore Drive, and Pinewood Park Drive between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Police say the convoy is expected to arrive on Pinewood Park Drive between 1 pm and 3 pm, with contingencies in place to reroute general traffic around the area to avoid further congestion if required.
They say the convoy will then be leaving the area on Saturday morning.
