Traffic delays expected with local protest

A ‘slow roll’ of vehicles is scheduled for the Tuesday afternoon commute in North Bay.

A group of local convoy supporters is organizing a series of events, including the slow roll.

The North Bay Police Service is advising the public to expect traffic delays because of the planned protest, which begins at 3:30 pm.

Vehicles will be travelling from Pinewood Park Drive to Highway 11, Algonquin Avenue, Lakeshore Drive and back to Pinewood Park Drive.

The police service and its partners will be monitoring the protest to ensure traffic laws are followed and public safety is protected.

According to their Facebook event page, the group is collecting food and toilet paper for the food bank.

A ‘Honk City Hall’ event aimed at getting all mandates dropped is also planned for Wednesday morning, with another protest planned for Thursday morning at the Health Unit.
