Troops road trip to Sudbury postponed

The North Bay Battalion won’t be playing in Sudbury on Wednesday night.

Four games, including the Troops-Wolves matchup,  have been postponed by the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for scheduling purposes.

“The postponed games will be rescheduled and played at a later date,” states a release from the OHL. “The League will share rescheduling information once confirmed dates become available.”

That means the Battalion next play Friday night at home to Peterborough, with more fans in the stands.

On Monday, the province announced an easing of restrictions with 50 percent capacity allowed in arenas.

The Battalion announced that means all season ticketholders will be allowed to attend.

Fans will have to show both a QR code verifying appropriate COVID-19 vaccination status and a government identification.

North Bay is riding a season-high seven game winning streak heading into the Friday night game.
