Registration is now open for a new mental health awareness training program for farmers and the agricultural community.
The Canadian Mental Health Association, North Bay and District, launched the program this past Tuesday, on Canada’s Agriculture Day.
In the Know is a mental health literacy program created specifically for the agricultural community.
Workshops will include real-life examples from agriculture with a variety of topics being covered, including stress, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and how to start a conversation around mental well-being.
CMHA North Bay and District is partnering with CMHA Thunder Bay and CMHA Champlain East to offer the program online for Northern Ontario’s farmers and agricultural community.
Training dates for English sessions are on March 7 and 9 with a French session on March 8.
