The City of North Bay is showing its support for the people of Ukraine.
Mayor Al McDonald helped raise the Ukrainian flag at City Hall on Friday.
“We’re very proud to raise the flag to show our solidarity,” he says in a video posted to social media.
“I was very fortunate to meet with members of the Ukrainian community right here in North Bay, to hear their story, and the fact that their families are back in their country under extreme stress,” he says.
Russia began its invasion of Ukraine early Thursday morning.
