Virtual keynote lined up for International Women’s Day

The social, political and economic achievements of women are being celebrated locally and around the world on Tuesday.

March 8th is International Women’s Day.

Attention is also being focused on areas requiring further action.

The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound and NECO Community Futures Development Corporation are hosting a virtual keynote speaker event Tuesday at 7 pm with Entrepreneur, Business Coach, Author and police sergeant Judith Tait.

Kennedy Horton, Program and Event Coordinator with The Business Centre, says Tait will discuss having a work-life balance, being productive and more.

“Based on her experience and her starting a side hustle she’ll be able to make that relevant to her side hustle, what she does for work, how she is involved in her community and how she can juggle all of those things, and how we can juggle all of those things,” Horton says.

She explains what she’ll be reflecting on this International Women’s Day.

“As a whole, how us women can come together and do amazing things and be able to persevere and be challenged on certain things and be able to overcome those challenges,” she says.

The theme for International Women’s Day this year is “#BreakTheBias”.
