The Ontario Council of Hospital Unions is calling on the province to anti-up their funding to the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
The union says that hospitals in the rest of Canada get on average, 25% more provincial government funding than facilities in Ontario. There has also been more than 350 job cuts at the hospital in the last three years.
They will be holding a media conference this morning to reveal how much provincial funding North Bay’s hospital would need to increase to reach the average.
