Expected precipitation could cause flooding in low-lying areas

A watershed conditions statement – flood outlook has been issued for the North Bay area.

With a weather system bringing snow and rain to the northeast Wednesday through Thursday, residents are being advised to keep a close watch on conditions and exercise caution around rivers and streams.

The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (MNDMNRF) says the statement is in effect until Monday, March 28.

Provincial officials say the forecasted precipitation could cause local flooding in low-lying areas.

MNDMNRF is monitoring the weather and developing watershed conditions and will provide further updates if needed.
