North Bay OPP report one person was killed after a single-vehicle collision late Thursday night in the northbound lanes of Highway 11 in Powassan.
The crash happened just before midnight just north of Hills Siding Road.Â
The police investigation revealed a northbound sedan left the roadway and rolled onto its roof in the ditch on the east side of the highway where it became fully engulfed in flames.
OPP report the unidentified driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the deceased will be released pending a post-mortem in Toronto at a later date.Â
Highway 11 was closed for about eight hours after the crash.Â
