A youth is facing over ten charges after an incident that included a heavy police presence on McIntyre Street East Thursday morning.
On April 7, at approximately 2:00 AM, the North Bay Police Service (NBPS) received a report of an assault at a home on Main Street East. The victim sustained minor physical injuries as a result of the incident and police say was known to the accused.
The accused then fled the residence.
Police say the investigation led city police and the OPP to attend a residence in the 800-block of McIntyre Street East, with the public asked to stay away from the area for several hours.
However, the accused was not at the location.
At approximately 1:00 AM on April 8, city police located and arrested the accused at a residence in the 900-block of Ferguson Street.
The youth was charged with:
- One count of Assault

One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

One count of Pointing a Firearm

One count of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
