A miner at the Musselwhite Mine north of Thunder Bay has been killed. The miner was operating a scoop tram underground Wednesday morning when he was hit by a rock fall, burying him and his vehicle.
First responders found the miner under the rock once they arrived on the scene. The Ministry of Labour is one of several agencies investigating the death at the fly-in camp.
Mine owner Goldcorp has shut down operations until the investigation is complete. The miner`s name has not yet been released.
