Online voting means fewer advanced polls in municipal vote

There are still six months to go but more details on this fall’s municipal election are being finalized in North Bay.

A staff report coming to Council Tuesday night recommends the City of North Bay hold fewer advance polling days.

“In 2018 seven advance voting dates were established for the Municipal Election,” states the report. “With the introduction of online voting for the 2022 Election, there will be three in-person advance voting dates.”

Online voting will start Thursday, October 13th at 10 am and run right through 8 pm on Election Day, which is Monday, October 24th.

In-person advanced polls will be held:

– Wednesday, October 12 at West Ferris Arena (10 am to 7 pm)
– Friday, October 14 at Castle Arms II (10 am to 3 pm)
– Monday, October 17 at Memorial Gardens (10 am to 7 pm)

The city says online voting will not be available at the in-person advanced voting locations.
