Community Foundation distributing record amount of grants

The North Bay and Area Community Foundation is awarding a record-breaking amount of grants this year.

Thanks to the generosity of local donors, officials with the foundation say nearly $97,000 in grants will be distributed to 19 groups.

The goal of the fund is to create a sustainable source of funding for primarily local charitable organizations.

“We are honoured to be able to provide much-needed support to our area in this time of rebuilding,” says Patti Callahan, Chair.  “The past couple of years have been hard on our community. We know that the work of our local charities is deeply needed. We are grateful beyond words for the donors of our area who have generously supported us so that we can get to our work of sustaining area charities.”
