A 28-year-old Ottawa man is facing drug trafficking charges after a city police traffic stop.
On April 23, police got a call about an erratic vehicle on Lakeshore Drive. After a traffic stop, it’s alledged police found nearly 240 suspected hydromorphone pills, 22 grams of a suspected cutting agent and $200.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $3,550.
The accused was charged with:
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- One count of Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice
- One count of Driving while under suspension
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
