Three city arenas now have free public Wi-Fi

You won’t have to use your own data anymore when posting social media updates from Battalion or Lakers games or any other arena activity in North Bay.

Free public Wi-Fi is now accessible at all three city arenas.

The city says the free Wi-Fi network will display as “CNB-public wifi” at Memorial Gardens, Pete Palangio and West Ferris arenas.

Users will need to enter the password “gateway!” when using a Wi-Fi enabled device, including a laptop, computer, tablet or smartphone.

“Free Wi-Fi access will help modernize and improve our arenas for fans, teams, event organizers and attendees,” says Councillor Johanne Brousseau, Chair of Council’s Community Services Committee. “Those attending competitions and events will be able to share their experiences with friends and family, while teams and event organizers will have the ability to post results and updates in real-time.”

Signage with the login information is posted at all three locations.
