Road construction season is upon us.
The city says the reconstruction of a section of Trout Lake Road between Mountainview Drive and Lees Road is scheduled to begin next week.
With that comes traffic disruptions over the course of the project.
While the work is underway the intersection at Mountainview Drive will be closed indefinitely, with traffic detoured to Lakeside Drive.
The city says the eastbound lanes on a stretch of the south side of Trout Lake Road will also be closed, with traffic reduced to a single lane in each direction.
The project includes pulverizing and paving the roadway, the addition of bike lanes and a new sidewalk from Mountainview Drive to Lakeside Drive.
A new storm sewer system is also going in near Average Joe’s.
The work is slated to be done by this October.
