City says expect delays with Trout Lake Road reconstruction project

As the reconstruction of a stretch of Trout Lake Road between Mountainview Drive and Lees Road continues, the city says delays and changes in traffic controls can be expected.

Trout Lake Road is down to a single lane just east of Average Joe’s with automated signals in use.

The city says that single lane will be extended and the automated signals moved as the work progresses.

Mountainview Drive is expected to reopen in two weeks and will be used to detour traffic when Lakeside Drive is closed.

“The project includes pulverizing and paving of the roadway, the addition of bike lanes and a new sidewalk from Mountainview Drive to Lakeside Drive,” states a release. “The portion of roadway fronting Average Joe’s will be reconstructed with a new storm sewer system and all existing guide rail systems will be replaced.”

The work is expected to be completed by the end of October.
