North Bay council has awarded one of its residents for her work on the Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee. For years Barbara Smith has helped people with disabilities and she`s worked with the CNIB for 30 years. Smith is a para-Olympian and continues to remove barriers for the disabled. The recognition came at council`s regular meeting and coincides with the local advisory committee`s 10th anniversary.
