North Bay OPP looking for vehicle after pedestrian struck

A collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 11 in North Bay has Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) looking for a vehicle they say failed to remain at the scene.

The OPP says the crash happened just before 2:30 am Monday. 

Police report the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.  

The southbound lanes of the highway were closed for about six hours, as members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team processed the scene.

There’s no identifying information about the vehicle as yet, but police say the investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
